About Us

DEDICATED TO INNOVATIVE LEARNING APPROACHES

Educational Resource Company – formerly known as the Early Education Company – was founded in 1982 by Ann Burke Neubert.  Our mission is to provide educators with the tools necessary to further the advancement of the Montessori teaching method.

Our Montessori Containers™ are used in classrooms all over the world to display Montessori and teacher-made materials.  These clear containers were designed to offer an alternative way to present the materials, with teachers often using them for variations or to arouse new interest.

Visual Sensory Input

Through the use of clear containers, the child’s visual sensory input is enhanced.

Whole Symbol Impression

When a child views materials , he/she will see the entire symbol rather than only a portion of the symbol.  Therefore, even if only passing a shelf, the child will be able to gain a whole symbol impression.

Peripheral Learning

The child will be able to see, not only the container, but also a complete image of its contents, increasing their peripheral learning.

A Dedication

Ann Neubert was a devoted Montessori educator who taught children, founded schools, established and taught in teacher education programs, and wrote books describing Montessori philosophy and positive classroom leadership.
